A death has two aspects which must be considered: the first is the question of what to do or who to turn to when this happens, and the second concerns the expenses involved in the funeral arrangements. Sometimes, furthermore, these expenses have to be added on top of other debts due to a relatively long and costly illness.

• The payment of the funeral service chosen by the family members /beneficiaries up to the limit of the insured sum.

Commercial Union takes care of the payment arrangements directly with the funeral home.

• The refund of the difference -- if there is any -- between the insured sum and the funeral expenses paid by the Company, to the beneficiaries of the deceased person.
• This refund will be effected after presentation of the necessary documents which current legislation requires.
• Transport of the deceased person when the death occurs outside the person's normal residence, in the most appropriate means of transportation and in any part of the world.
• Furthermore, if the insured person unexpectedly develops absolute and permanent disability due to accident or illness, before the age of 65, from that point on the company will pay all the future premiums until the end of the insurance.
• Updating of the insured sum in accord with the cost of Funeral Services.

TWO PLANS SO THAT YOU CAN CHOOSE

• LIFE PAYMENT PLAN

This consists of the insured person paying the annual quotas plus the cost of the External Services (650 Ptas. per person/per year) until his or her death.
This is the most common type of insurance for coverage of death.

• PAYMENT UNTIL 65 PLAN

With this plan the annual quotas are paid until the insured person reaches his or her 65th birthday.
From this time on, the insurance remains in effect without the need to pay any more quotas until the the death of the insured person (one only needs to continue paying for the External Services).
